Un tribunale del Bangladesh ha condannato a morte 152 militari: l'accusa è di essere stati coinvolti in un ammutinamento avvenuto in una caserma di Dacca nel febbraio 2009.
I soldati condannati sarebbero responsabili dell'assassinio di circa 80 persone, perlopiù comandanti, che furono fatte a pezzi, torturate e bruciate vive: i loro corpi vennero poi gettati nelle fogne. “Almeno 150 soldati sono stati condannati alla pena capitale per il massacro degli ufficiali dell'esercito”, ha riferito alla France Presse il procuratore generale, Baharul Islam, all'esterno del tribunale di Dacca.
Altri 320 soldati, degli 800 in totale che parteciparono alla rivolta, sono stati condannati a pene detentive per la loro partecipazione all'ammutinamento, mentre sono state assolte 271 persone.
